CANTESOL PUBLIC MEETING
The CANTESOL Committee is very pleased to welcome you all to an interesting Public Speech, on 14 August, on the topic of: Post Earthquake International, Migrant and Refugee Students - What is Happening in Christchurch? Present and Future.

CANTESOL PUBLIC MEETING
The next CANTESOL meeting will be held on Wednesday 16 April 2014 at Talanoa Centre, UC, Dovedale Avenue at 4.00-5.30pm. Leali'ie'e Tufulasi Taleni will be speaking on Enhancing Pasifika Student Learning. Entry is $2.

CANTESOL AGM
The CANTESOL 2013 AGM is to be held on Thursday, 21 November 2013, at PEETO, Riccarton Baptist Church, 80 Rattray Street, starting at 4:15pm with a Light Meal. The AGM will commece at 4:30pm and at 5:00pm the Guest Speaker will be Associate Professor Una Cunningham talking and demonstrating 'The Digital English Teacher'. This is another chance to hear Una speak on this topic if you missed her at the TESOLANZ AGM. She will not be repeating the same talk if you did hear her then!

Please find a flyer attached for your staff noticeboard. It has all the details.

Attached also, is the AGM AgendaPlease note the Motion moved by Rosemary Allison and seconded by Gaylene Anderson. Any further Motions need to be forwarded, with named mover and seconder, to Sue Saunders Sue.Saunders@cpit.ac.nz by 7 November so they can be circulated before the meeting to give people time to consider them.

A number of the current committee members will be standing down at this AGM so please give careful consideration to either offering yourself onto the committee or nominating someone else.

The TESOLANZ AGM is to be held on 5 October 2013 from 8:30am at Te Puna Wānaka, CPIT, Wharekai, Coventry St, off Barbadoes Street (Free parking in the main CPIT car park, entrance off Barbadoes Street).
AGM Programme:
8:30am                Doors open, refreshments available.
9-10am               Keynote Speaker: Associate Professor Una Cunningham, School of Teacher 
                           Education, College of Education, University of Canterbury “The digital English 
                           teacher.”
10:00-10:30am   Morning tea
10:30-12:00        AGM

In the last newsletter we asked for feedback about what you want from this
organisation. If you haven't already completed the survey, we would very
much like to hear from you.

This is advance notice for the TESOLANZ AGM
Date: Saturday, 5 October
Place: CPIT, Wharekai
Time:   8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
There will be a keynote speaker, the AGM and Sector Interest Group Meetings.

Offer of Billets
There will be people travelling to Christchurch for the TESOLANZ AGM and
some may require accommodation on the Friday and/or Saturday nights. If you
can offer a place please email Angela Bland at bn@riccarton.school.nz

CANTESOL AGM
The date and venue haven't been set yet. A number of the current committee
will be standing down at the AGM so start thinking now about replacing those
people - yourself or someone else you could nominate.
